Why Color During Concussion Recovery?

One of the biggest challenges I experienced when recovering was not knowing what to do with myself. Friends and family would make many suggestions that were simply out of reach. These days that became months and then years of being in pain at home brought on a lot of challenging thoughts. What helped with these thoughts was finding tasks and activities that I could do without exasperating my symptoms.

Coloring was something I was able to do and complete. The satisfaction of finishing something helped me feel like I wasn’t losing myself.

Plus coloring is not only good for your eyes to practice focusing it is helpful for cognitive improvement as well.

This is why I created the first edition of our coloring book series The Post Concussion Coloring book! It starts simple and gets more complicated.

Take your time and never be afraid to take breaks and come back another day!
